Both parts may be heat-resistant, but they operate under different loads and in different positions. The board under the chamber must fit the entire base

Do not infer the load-bearing capacity of the entire base solely from the published temperature rating. Check the load distribution, support surface, and condition of the substrate. The insulation layer does not replace the structure that carries the mass of the finished oven.
The vermiculite board has its own application conditions
Vitcas vermiculite board is described, among other things, for compatible indoor or sheltered applications. The ease of cutting does not imply approval for any exposed garden structure. It is necessary to determine whether the selected panel will be protected from water and properly supported.
If you are refurbishing a prefabricated oven, follow the requirements of its manufacturer. Changing the material and thickness can alter the size of the chamber, the arrangement of the remaining elements, or the flow of heat. Do not choose a replacement solely based on similar colour and dimensions.
